how do you empty it if it's built in to the counter? we want to use it for compost. would that work?
This fits into a cutout area of a workspace, then the cylinder lid is removed allowing you to take the trashbag out...as far as compost...it just depends on the construction of your workspace...if there is a cutout then you can just put this into the cutout

I am looking for a counter top garbage chute with a 7 15/16" inside diameter and a 5 or 6 inch height. Do you know if anybody makes them custom or is there one out there that has an inside diameter of at least 7 1/2 or 3/4". Thank you for your time with this matter.
Hi. I'm sorry, we don't have anything with that large of an internal diameter. Thanks

Will this fit in a 7" hole?
Hi, the diameter of the cut-out is 6.25" and the top diameter, including the lip, is 7.63". This chute should fit a hole that is between 6.25" and 7.63". Thank you.

Is the difference between the cut out and the diameter due to the size of the lip?
The cut out is less than 7" and the diameter is over 7", so shouldn't it fit a 7" hole?
Hi, you are correct, the difference between the cut-out and diameter is the size of the lip. The diameter of the cut-out is 6.25" and the top diameter, including the lip, is 7.63". This chute should fit a hole that is between 6.25" and 7.63". Thank you.
