Hung very easily, although you need to buy ceiling hooks. I was unsure about the metal cord that is used to hold the rack, but it's held up thus far. Also, the space between the racks is MUCH smaller than a traditional wine glass -- red or white. I'd recommend measuring the base first. We ended up unscrewing two of the planks to make room for the wine glasses with larger bottoms. Although my water goblets fit perfectly up there. I like the idea, but maybe would have done more research.

Very Nice looking rack, the only problem is the space to hold the base of the glasses is very small, and most wine glasses won't fit. We have a large selection of wine glasses and only a few glasses can fit on the rack. I plan on taking the rack apart and sanding/cutting the wood and re-staining the rack to make it functional.
ANSWER Hello, this wine rack is intended to be hung from a ceiling for overhead use. Thank you!
