I bought this pan on the recommendation that it doesn't warp. First time I used it, it not only warped, but bent so badly it is useless now.

I had hoped, by buying two, to get lucky with a non-warping pan. It's now clear, though, that the basic construction--perfectly flat bottom with integrated rolled-up sides--is going to have some unresolved stresses that change with temperature. Even a little change is going to have a pronounced effect on the shape of the bottom, leading to fairly severe warps. But the heavy material bakes and roasts food better than the cheap thin pans.

I bought these pans after watching America's Test Kitchen. On the show and in my home these pans find a thousand uses. You will not regret buying these pans.

When complaining about warp, please remember that the design is for a plan that flattens perfectly at oven temperatures. Heat expansion perfects this pan's usage.

I use this sheet pan for roasting vegetables and meats as well as baking desserts. This is a great heavy duty everyday pan which does not warp. Cookies are evenly baked without burned spots. I don't have anything bad to say about it. I bought four!!

Useful in many ways: From roasting veggies, to baking cookies,to transporting food from grill, and everything inbetween. It is sturdy and does not bend. I am getting 2 more for another home. Be aware this is not stick free and to use appropriate oiling or silpat.

Answer:
According to Vollrath's instructions, to remove food burnt on the bottom of cookware, boil a mild solution of vinegar and water for 10 minutes to dislodge food particles. For removing discoloration from Aluminum Cookware, boil a solution of two tablespoons of cream of tartar to each quart of water in the cookware for ten minutes. A cleaning guide with more tips will appear in the "Literature" tab of this page sometime tomorrow.

My husband put my new vollrath wear ever pan in the dishwasher. When I stopped yelling at him, I noticed the finish was ruined on the pan. Is it still safe to use without a protective finish? Thank you. And my husband feels very bad about his screw up.

Hi. You can still use the pan, but the pan will have trouble with things sticking…this can be solved with applying a cooking spray or oil to the pan. Thanks!

Hello, we currently do not carry a similar pan with item #4548. This sheet pan has a #5314 model number. This is a durable pan though and if the size is right, it should work for your purposes. Thank you! |
