QUESTION
How long is the metal cord that goes to thermomter? can you hang it on wall and leave in fryer?

ANSWER
This thermometer has a 5 inch stainless steel probe and a 3 ft wire cable. You cannot hang this on the wall and leave it in the fryer. Thanks!

QUESTION
Is this something i can leave in the oil and it will beep when at the optimal temp or beep when over a certain temp? I am working a food vendor cart and while i will be close by to my outdoor fryer, I would like to not be constantly monitoring the temp of the oil.

ANSWER
Hello, according to the manufacturer this thermometer can be left in the oil, and also can be used to check roasts in an oven. It can be set for a specific temperature, and will beep once the oil reaches that temperature. Thank you!

QUESTION
Can I use the probe in a conventional oven? Insaert it in a roast and leave it in the oven without probe damage? Thank you

ANSWER
I would not recommend using this probe in an oven. It is not designed for that function.
